My Friends (2025) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ by Fredrik Backman

I read an ebook version.
From the author who brought us A Man Called Ove (which I reviewed here) we get the story of four soul mates during the summer before they turned 15. One of them becomes a famous artist and paints three children on a pier. This is the painting this story is set around.
It is an often depressing story, but it is also extremely uplifting, just in the same way that Ove was.
It is a story about art, a story of love, a story of finding your “person”. A story of how horrible it can be to be a kid, but also how wonderful it can be. It’s a story of how horrifying the world can be, but also how amazingly beautiful the world is.
I don’t think you’ll regret reading this one. Just do it. And tell me what you think about it, too.
