The Curse of the Mummy (1993) by R. L. Stine

I read The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb as part of a book club. This was the fifth book in the series, so is much less silly than the subsequent ones.
I enjoyed this book, especially the exotic locale. I always like when the setting is other countries or locations. It adds a little interest. I mean, even now, this made me go into a rabbit hole of looking at real mummies to see what they actually look like!

Find out what happens when you read The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb! It’s actually a pretty exciting read, and I think Stine builds tension and suspense pretty well in this one. Unfortunately, there is no Goosebumps episode of the book, but I did see somewhere that the sequel, The Return of the Mummy. does have one. That will be the next book we’ll read in the book club, so that will be fun.
In 1999, this was adapted into a comic strip, which I thought captured the main story pretty well.
