Read Time:23 Second
This came out of American Childhood, a teacher’s magazine from December 1949. It is an anonymous hymn, maybe written by many people as time progressed.
Christmas Hearth Rhyme
Sing we all merrily
Christmas is here,
The day we love best
Of all the days in the year.
Bring forth the holly,
The box and the bay,
Deck out our cottage
For glad Christmas Day.
Sing we all merrily,
Draw near the fire,
Sister and brother,
Grandson and sire.
